Story of Tan Seng Kit

Tan Seng Kit was diagnosed with autism at the age of 6. Although he attended a regular primary school, his mother knew that it would be extremely difficult for him to cope especially in his academic studies so he is now studying in a home schooling environment.

When he was young, as he couldn’t communicate verbally, he would draw pictures to express his feelings or his needs eg. if he wanted to eat fried egg, he would draw a picture of a fried egg so that his mother could cook it for him. So every time he wanted something he would draw it on a piece of paper.

But it was only in September 2003 that Seng Kit attended art class and currently, he is also studying under a well-known artist. He has improved a lot and is very proud to show off his art to everyone who visit him.
